The Story
Bruce Eickelman grew up in Joliet, Illinois. He forged his mother's signature to skydive at sixteen. He went on to make over a thousand jumps and spend years as a skydiving instructor — teaching people to step out of a plane and trust what they had learned.
That turned out to be a reasonable preparation for business ownership, which he pursued across several decades and several continents. Sales. Hospitality. Nightclubs. Franchises. The kind of work that teaches you things no business school covers — what people actually do under pressure, what loyalty looks like, what it costs to build something and watch it fail, and what it takes to start again.
He has been a father, a mentor, a risk-taker, and at various points someone who got things badly wrong. He has lived in the United States and Australia. He is now based in Sydney.
12X Media Press is the result of two years of building — an attempt to turn what a life teaches into something worth keeping. Not to preserve ego. Because what life teaches should not be lost.
